Day 200

Late night working means no time for fun photos. It's Day 200 though; that's kinda groovy!

Day 199

Just a pic of the boy today. It was this or the swollen ankle & nobody needs to see that.

Day 195

Third-grade music program. Ben's in the back row, of course, so naturally I left the battery to the big camera on the kitchen counter.

Day 194

Self-portrait. Muddy, fuzzy and vague. Some days, that's what I feel like.

Day 193

Rain means worms, worms mean birds, and birds mean two cats enthralled by the view outside the window.

Monday, April 19, 2010

Day 192

Scout meeting involved odd party games that will come in handy for college parties..

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Day 191

"Why won't he let me in?!?" Soxie loves to sleep in Sandro's room but sometimes when she gets locked out she must resort to tunneling.

Day 190

This is probably a total cheat, but I don't really care. Our running/walking team participated in the Zoo Run Run 5K today, and a teammate snapped this photo of most of the group before the start. No, I didn't actually take the photo, but I did take one that is similar a few minutes afterward, just not on my camera, so I don't have it. This will do quite nicely.

Day 189

Roses have always been my favorite - especially yellow ones. Too bad these aren't mine!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Day 188

Packets, bibs & shirts for the Red Light Runners for this weekend's Zoo Run Run 5K (and 1-mile walk) at the Fort Worth Zoo! So excited - our team grew from 11 at the Run to Joe's to 16 for this weekend's event! Way to go, team!

Day 186

The great thing is that this is the most productive part of her day.

Monday, April 12, 2010

Day 185

Pond at the park halfway through my 5k route. Too bad you can't hear the buzzing of the bugs or frogs or whatever they were. Definitely the sounds of summer approaching.

Day 184

After Benjamin was inspired by the short -track speed skaters at the Olympics and started skating with the speed team, it took only about three practices for Sandro to decide he wanted to get back into it as well. His skating style changed dramatically after six years of ice hockey, so the coaches have their work cut out for them to get him back to inline speed form. But, the foundation is there, plus he's got explosive power on his starts, so it's exciting to see what he can do on rollers.

Day 183

Had a great morning with the hockey team at the paintball party out by Lake Grapevine. I only got hit twice in the back of the leg - hurt like heck! The boys (and dads) had a lot of fun.

Another evening in Texas, another gorgeous sunset.

Day 178

Baseball season started today. We haven't been to the Rangers games in quite a while but that doesn't mean we don't still love this game.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Day 177

After church today we went in search of a location for the boys' annual photos. We ended up at the bandshell downtown so we stayed out of the drizzle and mist. The only challenge then was get a shot of the two of them looking at the camera at the same time while not either blinking, scowling, or fake-smiling. Mission accomplished.

Day 176

Peeps! No, it's Peepshi and Peepshimi! We didn't do the usual coloring of confetti eggs this year, so when a friend posted this idea on Facebook, we had to try! Surprisingly, they don't taste as sweet as I expected, either!

Day 174

After speed skating practice, the boys needed a cold drink. And John and I needed a little pick-me-up, too. Luckily, the Sonic around the corner was more than happy to oblige.
